K-State fans seems to think if they can shake off KU, they are a lock for the Pac whatever. Assuming we beat OU like Herbstreight claims
They would fit in very well with USC.

You are definitely wrong about the TV exposure part. They can keep their NBC contract for home games through 2015-16 plus they would get additional B12 money for their conference road games, most of them would be on ABC. ND doesn't get TV money now for any of their road games.
I do agree that they would lose some scheduling flexibility but they could still schedule their "must-have" annual games with USC, Navy, Mich St and Purdue. If AFA also joins the B12 with them, they can schedule AFA as a conference game each season.
I think there is a 0% chance ND plays those games as a non conference schedule and then plays a Big 12 schedule. USC, Michigan State, Purdue, and Navy non conference? That would be ridiculous.
The following schedule for ND would not be that ridiculous:
Conference:
North: AFA, ISU, KU, Mizzou, KSU
South: OU or UT, BU or Tech, Okie State or BYU
Non-Conference: USC and Navy for sure. Then likely two of the following 4 (PUR, Mich St, Army or BC).
This has probably been discussed here before, as I've mostly just skimmed this whole thread. But, wasn't it just last year when Kelly said something along the lines of "we don't want to play road games in Ames, IA every year". I think it would be hilarious if this is exactly what ended up happening. And I would obviously be all for it from a Big 12 standpoint. Obviously still a pipe dream...
I have to say, 218 pages and still somewhat on topic is pretty amazing.

SMU as a #12 only but not before Houston gets a shot at #12. Neither should be in the conversation at #10.
