Step 3:

TAMU says 'fine, we'll leave in 2013 instead, and pay you less, but be a pain in your *** for the next 2 years'.

Step 4: Big 12- we'll vote your sheep ******* ***** out right now and you can be an independent for a year and figure out how to replace 9 football games on your schedule in the next 4 weeks and 18 basketball games on your schedule starting in December

Sincerely,

the Big XII.

PS. Go **** yourselves.

aTm won't get forced out, no matter how much we'd like to see it. No incentive for the conference - if we force them out, we got no money. Plus, we look like the bad guy.

Right, I have no idea what they "kick them out" crowd is talking about. If you force them to leave you lose the exit fee. Nobody is kicking A and M out, that is idiotic. B12 is much stronger if they stayed. A and M has the leverage, B12 has none. They are gone.

Just a legal step, but one of the first 'official' steps for aTm to take to leave the conference. Now is when the Big12 needs to go public with some sort of plan, aTm is now public with their plan of wanting to leave the conference so we need to show other members and conferences that we are going to be adding team(s) that make the conference even better.

And it needs to be done now!

That crowd is just knee-jerk angry. They'll mostly settle into a considered angry soon, and we'll unite around that.

Sticking it to the aggies is just fine with me, but we need to make sure that we milk them for everything we can get.

We may look like the bad guy to some, but I think most people would understand why we forced them out. If they continue to whine and complain and create instability in the conference, it would be a very justifiable move.

First it was Mizzou, then Nebraska, then Colorado, and now A&M is threatening to potentially wreck the Big XII. Nobody is going to blame the Big XII conference for doing what is in the best interests of it's LOYAL conference members. A&M has created significant issues for the Big XII's survival and if for any reason they would attempt to stay the Big XII would be well within their rights to vote A&M out. Nobody would think the conference is the bad guy after the **** A&M and some other schools have pulled. One school should not be allowed to jerk an entire conference around and potentially put the entire conference at risk. It would be entirely irresponsible to let that continue on any further.

Issue a date to gtfo by, or else they pay double. That is kicking them out while getting paid.

It's justifiable but short-sighted. Why give the problem child everything they want? Why reward them for having a fit?

Make them go through all of the correct steps and make them pay their way out. See if they actually have the money or if they're full of themselves.

For the record I don't think we should dump the Aggies. I just wouldn't be very upset if it happened (which I do not think it will).

It is an easily justifiable move, however it is not economically justifiable. If you have a team that wants to leave, or is going to leave sooner or later, why kick them out and void any fees that they would have to pay if they exited on their own?

The $15-30 million will be worth listening to them ***** for a while longer...

You realize that's exactly what A&M wants, don't you? If the Big XII votes them out, A&M doesn't have to pay the huge exit fee. No way in hell the Big XII votes them out.

IF A&M attempts to remain in the Big XII because the SEC shoots them down then you boot them out. A&M can't be trusted. If they end up wanting to stay you send them packing and replace them.

You don't vote them out to hurt 'em. You hit 'em in the checkbook. Especially when their AD is already in hot water for having to take money from the general fund to stay afloat.

They are very replaceable.

Let them do what they want to do and have them write a big fat check in the process. I would negotiate nothing. They made their bed, let them sleep in it.

Incredibly stupid move.

Agreed. Don't know why we'd hold them back from leaving if they pay the buyout.
