Wasn't the Mizzou poster on this board going on about Mizzou president being head of Big XII Board of Directors?

If the SEC is growing a pair and starting super conferences then holy **** here we go. Maybe Beebe's back up plan was for the remaining schools to get dispursed to other conferences so everyone has AQ status?

In some states, that aren't Iowa, the regents are more concerned with the success of the whole university system rather than one school and won't allow one school to bolt and leave the other hung out to dry. OU/OSU and KU/KSU are package deals.

Not necessarily true with KU/KSU... There was an article I referenced much earlier in this thread regarding the idea that KU would not have to take KSU along if they did not want too...

Here is is: Will KU, K-State Go Separate Conference Ways? - Kansas City News Story - KMBC Kansas City

If Mizzou/A$M/OU to the SEC, you would have to think the divisions are:

West
OU
Mizzou
A&M
LSU
Arkansas
Ole Miss
Miss State
and maybe Tennessee or Kentucky??

East
Auburn
Bama
Vandy
S. Carolina
Florida
Georgia
Tenn/Kentucky
Va Tech/WVU???

That East division would be unreal. No way would those teams last and want to stay there when they are constantly middle of the pack or lower in their division, let alone the whole conference.

Did you just use Beebe and plan in the same sentence?

This is the guy that didn't get around to getting the schools to decide on revised bylaws to make leaving the conference a whole lot harder.

Guys, we don't know a thing. That flight could be OU/aTm/Mizzou planning to leave. It could be faculty researchers jumping samples back and forth from labs. It could be associated university business. It could be night flight practice for students. This got really out of hand really quick tonight. Take a breath, get some sleep and we'll hear it in the morning.

Plane is about to land back in Columbia...there's no way that a flight school flight would be doing a MU-OU-TAMU-OU-MU flight on a Sunday. I'm guessing there was someone important on that plane.

This is pretty entertaining for an old geezer like me.

I've been laughing for well over 30 minutes now. My wife thinks I'm crazy.

I've got way too much time on my hands.
