When I see you were the last post, I knew it would be a negative tweet.

Quotes from the TTech AD seem pretty relevant. Are you suggesting we only post positive comments or paint the picture that everything is rosy in the Big 12?

And people wonder why you can't understand what aTm is doing, they don't have a clue as to what they are doing! How angry would our fanbase be if we had an opportunity like that and we turned it down not even understanding what it entirely entailed? I know there are likely some that are happy they didn't join forces with Texas, but if it would have been a group effort it wouldn't have been 'The Longhorn Network' it would have been something different. Looks like aTm had the chance of a lifetime to be involved and they ****** it down their legs...
They didn't **** it down their legs, the blew it in a jar and burned it.

He does not like the LHN it is obvious.
Dislike for UT overall and the big stick they wield in the B12 is what has brought down this conference. The LHN is a symptom of a bigger problem that has led to massive instability.

I still don't understand the problem with Texas's power.

Do people think that if we had equal revenue sharing that Texas would be less powerful or less of a say in league decisions? I don't get it. How does Texas's power negatively effect the rest of us? I just don't see it.

The problem is the people perceive Texas's power as the problem in the Big 12, even though it really isn't, and perception becomes reality.

Texas's power is a problem because everyone insists it is.

Pitt, ECU and UCF really just gnaw at me...not because they are bad schools, but because the geographic issue.

OU is currently being tugged at by the P12. With the exception of BYU, the proposed addition of any current non-AQ school to the B12 will cause OU to flee to the P12 (and then UT, Tech and Okie St will follow).

It is worthless to discuss any B12 expansion scenarios involving ECU, UCF, Houston, SMU, etc.

Texas would be just as powerful even with equal revenue sharing. The problem with Texas is keeping the other kids in the playroom from getting jealous. CU, Nebbie, and A&M got so jealous that they took their toys and went home.

How can you possibly know this? Anything I've seen from OU has stated that they're committed to making the Big XII work, preferably with 12 teams. Adding a national championship team like BYU and two large schools in desirable states outside the Big XII footprint like UCF & ECU would seem to stabilize the conference pretty well.

I agree somewhat, here is the thing. Texas can't go recruit aliens to play, they can't play with 15 guys on the field. They can only get so good at football, another X amount per year isn't going to help them be any better at football. So what if they have gold covered toilets? So they have more money...big deal. They can only be so good, there are diminishing returns to these dollars. Big deal if they have facilities 1000X better than anyone else? Does that hurt anything but pride of the other members? OU and A and M will always have more than enough and we are always going to have less. That's just reality.

There's no doubt Larry Scott is desperately trying to destroy the Big 12. I hope he isn't successful, but really wouldn't mind seeing KU and Mizzou go that way if it has to happen.

Agreed. I just don't see how anything Texas is doing is causing anyone harm. More Big 12 schools are competitive than ever. Only Kansas has a terrible squad out of the 10 schools. We're all making more money than ever. Absolutely no one has shown how Texas is holding anyone back.

Interesting. So in that case I'm assuming Texas would walk as an independent leaving ISU, KSU, Texas Tech and Baylor looking for homes? Seems like an opening for the Big East then to add a western division to pair w/ TCU. Would they pick us all up (going to an odd 13) with the assumption that one current Big East team would be poached by the ACC if/when the SEC takes one of their teams? What a cluster **** house of cards this whole thing is.
