Regarding the first artlcle, they are looking at Mizzou, KU, and K-State. If the SEC takes Misery, you'd think that we'd slip into the KU/KSU group to the BE. I think.
The post article assumes Mizzou and KU are in the Big East. I think at most, one of them ends up there. I think a worst-case scenario for ISU is that we are put up against Baylor for one open Big East spot, and with TCU already in the conference, I feel pretty good about our odds.
That's probably the most thought-out article I've read on Big East expansion.
Unfortunately, it doesn't include Iowa State...
on 810 radio in KC Dennis Dodd was on a said that this ISU/Iowa game will probably be the last because of "some other things"
Obviously, these are baseless rumors as I was assured on this board that we are going into the Big East and/or the Big Ten.

Dodd is a moron who has had an agenda against ISU for years. He is more than likely relishing the demise of ISU and is probably enjoying watching this go down all while munching on his bowl of popcorn.
Another Dodd just squashed the move to the Big Ten rumor....where do we get all these Dodds?
They'll need to add 5-10 schools to add 3 schools after they get raided. We'll likely join the Big East but we might never play Pitt, WV or UCONN.
If they're not stupid, and they want to survive as a football conference, they'll invite ISU, KSU, KU, Mizzou if available, Baylor, Houston and UCF.
Frankly I feel like 90% of the posters in this thread are more educated about all this now than nearly every article that comes out including this one.
I 100% agree. That would be an entertaining league to watch in my opinion. It will be nice to still have a couple Texas teams in the conference, the ones that don't cry or burn houses down anyway.
