Would anybody else just rather be in the Big East at this point?
not if OU and Texas say there is still a bigXII. Its all about money, not lack of drama. The BigEast is gonna get raided too...then will you panic and say maybe we should go MWC?

I am member of that site (paying) and Tarp does not post these conclusions unless he has verified all sources.
Up until yesterday, he was in the it is not going to happen camp
I will not post details, but if he is reporting it as such, I would forecast it is a 98% of its being accurate and on target.

If Oklahoma and Texas stay obviously we have to as well. I am just getting tired of not knowing what conference we will be in in a couple years.not if OU and Texas say there is still a bigXII. The Big 12 will not be adding ND. Ever. BYU would be a good option but who knows what will happen. I don't think a 9 team conference can survive very long.If aTm were to leave, and the Big 12 added BYU (good, realistic option) and ND (good option, but a big-time longshot), then no way. aTm is the source of the instability right now, and if they get out and the conference adds to more strong assets, then it's a win-win.
The Big East money is second tier. For another year? ISU should be looking at their exit strategy too before it is too late. If the Big East is interested, ISU would be a fool to turn it down at this point. Basically ISU is hoping to get a big payday for a couple of years while risking mediocre paydays for years to come. I would take the for sure thing.
This doesn't add anything that we don't already know because it is referencing AggieYell.com.
I will assume nothing until Chip Brown churps in.
From Chip Brown/Oragngebloods (not an independent source but some info worth seeing):
Orangebloods.com - D-Day appears imminent for 10-member Big 12
The conference is as stable as OU says it is. Texas is Texas...they are fine and won't move until they have to. OU is the wildcard and the trumpcard. What OU does...so goes the conference.
This is somewhat true, but OU is going to see the writing on the wall, that the Big 12 is a wounded fish, as the sharks circle. They might become proactive in order to save their future.
Is there any reason for OU to stay in the conference at this point?
