Why would anyone care how many bowl games there are? Nobody is forced to watch, strapped to a chair with toothpicks prying their eyes open. It is so easy to change the channel. I mean, super easy.

If infomercials have taught me anything, it's that nothing is ever easy.

I'm guessing those that are saying there are too many bowl games were at the other end of the spectrum when we were nervously hoping just to get that 6th victory some years.

I've thought teams should have a winning record to go bowling. I don't currently watch very many bowls because there are so many and a lot of the match ups are poor.

Yeah, I always love bowl season because it's a big goodbye to college football for about 8-9 months. Gives me that one last taste before the Long Dark of the Offseason is upon me.

D-1A (or whatever it is now) has more teams now than it did previously, too.

Over the last 30 years, FBS is up 24 teams -- but there are 42 more bowl slots available.

1989: 34% of teams made a bowl game
1999: 40%
2006: 54% (first time over 50%)
2015: 62.5% (all-time high, with 2016)
2019: 60%

But I'll still watch as many bowls as I can because college football.

I think a lot of fans may have felt the same. I had a friend who road tripped to Shreveport and he said it was a total ********.

Shreveport is a ********. They have a casino and a Waffle House. Other than that its redneck paradise. Nvm Waffle House can't even redeem Shreveport.

I'm not specifically asking for more or anything but I don't think we need to start cutting bowls. As the FBS grows I see no issue with adding more games in to balance things out a bit. 5-7s going to bowls sucks though

yeah....you said that before without providing any explanation or support as to why this is true...or at a minimum, why you believe this to be true.

Now you've done it again.

Got anything else?

There are too many bowl games

If you have a losing record you shouldn’t get the privilege of a bowl game. I would love it if conference affiliations were removed but then we’d be stuck with Big 10 and SEC teams in all the best bowls as they have the best tv contracts.
