Just remember, everyone on that list who left was a Mcdermott recruit (other than Odunsi). Hopefully that ridiculous trend will end with him. Absolutely unbelievable.

How about this...

In the classes from 2002-2010 (not counting the transfers that redshirted last season, or the ones that will redshirt this season)....

49 incoming players

33 of them were High School kids....2 played all 4 years in Ames. 3 more left a year early for the NBA.

15 Juco, 7 used all of their eligibility.

(Christopherson is the other to add up to 49)

Only 17 of the 49 total guys have used more than 50% of their potential eligibility.

Well, that just sucks. That is why we need the soft schedule for pre season in order to jell. Seems to me we need to get these guys some GFs so they have roots. I would also think their college degrees will not be much as all they care about is PT.

Still bad but if your going to count the Jucos like JVB, Dendy, Guilstrap, Phillips, and McGee then you should also count the transfers Babbs, Allen, White, and Booker. This doesnt make it look as bad.

If you want a winning program you have to take chances. Stop living in the past as to what could have been, but lets start thinking positive going forward.

After seeing DG's tranformation from McDermott-ball to Hoiberg-ball...no wonder no one wanted to stay at ISU.

That list is sickening...I'll take a group of transfer-ins every year over all of those transfer-outs.

I didn't count them because they haven't had a chance to use any of their eligibility yet. Same reason I didn't count Sledge.

I talked to a guy that played for him at Wayne State, he really liked him as a coach. He said most of the guys on the team liked him also. It helps that he played on a really good team out there, they played deep into the D2 tourney. I don't know how his players at UNI felt about him, but once he got to ISU he had problems from day one.

I hear that aTm is looking at our old coach Greg McDermott aka de creighton flash!!!!! :twitcy:

The only players who were happy with Greg McWorthless were the guys who transferred ahead of mcworthless....

You know your basketball program is bad when your coach transfers to CU!!!:twitcy:

To be fair, it would be interesting if someone ran the same analysis on a similar stature program to iowa state.

How about the Vette? He drove off mid season. Clinton Mann? P-something that transferred to Creighton and was kicked off last year?

Let's face it, anyone that plays more than one year for us is like gold.

The "P-Something" was P'Allen Stinnett and I am almost positive he never even signed a LOI at ISU. He was a verbal and backed out before he ever signed (I think, it's been a while and I'm too lazy to actually look it up).

I can't remember for certain if P'Allen signed the LOI with ISU but I remember it being a mutual lack of interest on both sides between him and McDermott. Similar deal with Westbrook when McD said "thanks, but no thanks".

Yeah they were both athletic guards and McDermott wasn't sure how to use them. (Sorry easy shot I had to take)

To be fair, Stinnet was a head case that had his fair share of issues at Creighton and Westbrook apparently had an overbearing father, but I can't recall him having too many issues at Minnesota.
