This joker really dislikes ISU

He did mention that Rhoads could put something together in 3-4 years, which I totally agree with. I think it's unfair to put unrealistic pressure on the guy to break .500 in his first year, but given time he will have us back in the bowl games.

You can tell this guy didn't know a thing about ISU before doing some "research" for a day so he could write the article. Even without the poor research, the article was poorly written.

I like the picture of the corn field that looks like it was from Kansas. Iowa doesn't have dirt like that.

You realize this guy isn't really a journalist and just a blogger. My mother has a website and could put together something stupid like this and people would read it and unfortunately believe it.

Hey, I can understand dissing ISU Football. I find it ridiculous to predict that we'll only win 1 game this year but, obviously the last few seasons have been pretty difficult at ISU. But, why bash Ames? Ames is a fantastic city. In addition to the beautiful ISU campus, there's a plethora of parks, restaraunts, shopping, etc. What's his deal?

Barking Carnival is actually one of the best blogs in the Big 12, if not the best, in my opinion.

Hell, I'd take it over Tim Griffin any day.

I didn't read the article. BUT, last year we had a grand total of two wins, and this year we've replaced our entire coaching staff and are installing a completely new type of offense. From an outsider's perspective (or even from an insider's perspective, really), is it really that difficult to believe that someone would only forecast one win for us?

After reading what he just wrote, how can you say that? Forget about what he said about the team. Just his writing alone.

I didn't think it was so bad. It was mostly just joking and wasn't really serious. The 1 win came from the fact that our win total has gone from 4 to 3 to 2 the past three years. I thought it was kind of funny that he picked a road game (Kent State) to be the one win. At least he knew a little about the team and didn't just throw us at the bottom of the division by default like a lot of people do. To be honest even that doesn't bother me. I'll wait until we win a few games to start ratcheting up some fake outrage over being disrespected.

I liked the piece. Very funny and I don't see how anyone can object to what most of what he said. I found most of it to be true. It wasn't as badly written as alot of you seem to say. It was a pretty good read.

With this being said no reason why this team should not win at least four games this season. :yes:
