No one in their sane mind expected us to pull out a W tonight. I mean we knew we had a chance, but to expect a W is just asinine. I was impressed with our hustle and defense. It's tough to guard threes when you double two of their guys every single time they have the ball (Embiid and Ellis). We were going to see if they could make enough threes to win and they did. No shame in that. Lot of games left and I like the way we are playing.

Agree with the OP. This is the least frustrated I've been with a loss in a long time. I was encouraged by our play for the first time in a few weeks. Let's build on it and finish conference play strong.

I like our next two match-ups to get things back on track, I know it is OU at home and OSU in Stillwater. I just think when on our game like we somewhat looked tonight, we can beat those 2 teams, much better matchups, we just need to do some better rebounding, the cheap second chance points were what killed us in the OU game in Norman, personally thought that Rebounding as the game went on improved against KU....

This KU team reminds me of the one that on the title a few years ago. So many ways to score.

Luckily, moral victories DO matter in NCAAB. Remember when we lost and went UP in the standings? No shame in showing mental fortitude by storming back and keeping it close.

Good ku team. Good game by isu other than some dumb passing turnovers. We shot really well. I think we lose 2 more games in the league and win the rest. 6 losses on the regular season isn't bad, and better than my expectations were before we played our first game of the year.

Morris needs to start. This team is so much better when he is in, and it shows by ISU's show starts to halves

Knew we would lose this but I think we win the next 2. Yes, I really think we pick up our biggest road win of the year at OSU.

Nope. More than 5 of 10? Maybe. I think we would have won in Hilton if we played this well.

They have beaten us 18 out of the last 19. It's not just us. They are on their way for the 10th straight B12 championship.

There are a couple of reasons for this.... They have the best talent in the league EVERY year. And they have the best coach in the B12.

Very encouraged with this game, this was more like the ISU team from earlier this year.
Got a way at the end, but a much better game against them than up at Hilton.

We played probably the toughest schedule in the conference thus far simply having to play KU 2 times already.
Plus OU, Texas on the road.

This is really starting to bug me. I really feel he needs to start. It really hurts when we go on the road and get down big early without him and take the other teams punch and get their crowd fired up. Would rather start faster and try to maintain leads when Morris is resting.

What's up with Naz and Thomas. It seems like whichever one of them starts does nothing the entire game but the one that comes off the bench is playing better.

February schedule much more kind. Let's fire it up this Saturday

This Saturday is must win. We have to go at least 1-3 over @KU, OU, and @OSU, and I really doubt we beat @OSU if we can't beat OU at home. After this 3 game stretch, things get infinitely easier...

This KU team is one of their best ever. I just think they get too much credit for their depth when they really don't have as much, they are a much different team when Perry Ellis and Embiid are out, it seemed like our comebacks started with those 2 on the bench, we had situations when that was not true, I still think their bench is overrated....

When Thomas seems to get it going, it seems to only be in the first half.

The game itself doesn't sting, it wasn't a heart breaker and the result was expected.

What stings is the big 12 standings.

7th out of 10.

Ouch.

I'd trade any of those non-conference wins for a win in conference. The 14-0 start is near meaningless at this point with how crucial every game is from here on out.

That top 10 ranking was such a tease. Combine that with all the talk that THIS IS THE YEAR Kansas finally doesn't win the Big 12, that's what stings. Soon to be 10 straight titles, and I learned my lesson. Until it's mathematically impossible, I'm assuming Kansas gets the title until the end of time.
