I have also wondered if JP was just trying to ratchet up the public pressure on Hoiberg to recommit to Iowa State before the Bulls position even became available.

Actually Carol holds all the cards..All.

True. I was told by someone last night (not sure how credible he is, but he did have texts from Georges and Naz (which I thought was weird in it's own right)) that Pollard and Mrs. Hoiberg don't get along to well.

Like I said this is something I was told and not sure how credible it is.

Why do I feel like Pollard doesn't really get along with like 85% of the population?

So just like most coaches, ISU was nothing more than a stepping stone and he was never all in. He suckered us and JP since no other place would hire him with no experience. He used us to avoid having to work his way up the ranks.

That would be an okay way to look at it if we hadn't gotten anything out of the deal. It's not like we bought some knives from a door to door salesman and got some plastic silverware in the mail a couple weeks later.

I can only hope the next coach, whenever that may be, is as successful in doing so. Sign me up for the swap of the best run in ISU history for them moving on after 5 years.

Seems to me a large number of you have already written him off as gone. Why burn that bridge? Why even become bitter? We are in great shape right now, regardless if Fred returns or not. For what it's worth, if Fred does leave, I don't think TJ gets the job. If he does, I might be upset.

The only question I have is if Fred does come back, is the nut cup curse reversed? And will ISU allow CW to market ISU men's thongs? Because I'm gonna feel like rocking a man thong all summer if Freddy stays home.

There are 2 reasons for JP to say those things.

1. To get the fans ready for him leaving.

2. To get the fans to pony up more money to pay him.
