This is not a case of complaining nor doing wrong, in my opinion.
Looking through the thread posts I see reasoned points both pro and con.
I see concerns and discussion points being expressed, not someone complaining or whining.
Bottom line, there are some that are fine with it being on Thursday, there is a significant percentage of those that are regular attendees (I do not know the exact percentage, so maybe guess 25-35%) that have a real challenge when it is moved to Thursdays.
Many see it different as between moving a time on a Saturday because we are doing it on a work day and week night. For those that can take off the next day, or early to get there, great, but recognize there are many who want to but just cannot. They are caught at work, have kids activities after school (often time mandatory, especially at this time of year), or just have a challenge getting them even out early, to the game and back.
So, lets say 60-70% have no problem with it. However, when you are holding a game outside of traditional college football time/date frames that 25-40% have a significant problems or difficulties with it, then you are increasing the negative approval rating.
For many it has become even more of concern since we only have 6 home games, have a high price per game, and from the start either cannot make it, or have a shortened game, tailgate, football experience benefit.
I think everyone would say fine if the numbers were clear that it has had an increase or if we were full TV coverage. But since not, it is time to rediscuss it.
Personally, it makes sense to go back to Saturday for a time or two for a couple of reasons.
1. See what impact it has on attendance, both total and students.
2. If no change, or worse, then no one should complain if it goes back to Thursdays.
Bottom line, in my opnion, this is not a case of complaining, it is reasoned discussion by a group of fans. Fine to disagree on either side, but just calling anyone a complainer is not really helpful either.
