When I watch Oliver in pregame warm ups he looks like he is going to be a stud. Pregame warm ups are really no indication but the skills he displays are nice. Has serious up's and a very nice stroke all the way out to the 3pt line. Guarding he has great length -nice wingspan. I predict he will end up being a very good player for us his JR -SR year.

On the other hand Dendy has to be one of the worst shooters I have ever witnessed in pregame. The guy lays more bricks then the local 357.
Then in games he follows suit. I cring when they pass the ball into him and he thinks he is going to shake and bake and force something up.

That is true...I guess if he was a little more serious about his approach I would be excited to see what he is capable of.

Do you think it is a good idea to call a kid (who is a freshmen) softer than hell on a message board? And then to say that you have that opinion b/c you saw him puking at a practice early in the season?

It's a good thing you didn't see me practicing my senior year. I puked a couple times. Maybe I am a big *****!

Seriously though, if the kid is goofing around, it is the coaches job to take care of it. The kid is a freshmen and probably is use to lazy practices from high school. Let the kids know early on what it is going to be like. Let them know that goofing around isn't going to take place. It really is that simple

NCAA has already ruled on Wilkins, would have to sit out first five games. No real baggage character wise, just the NJCAA being stupid.

hmm interesting, how would you compare him to harris because thats who id prefer they get for a PF even though its a year later. Might be too short though, but he just sounds too good to pass up.

ISU has zero shot of being above .500 next year. They don't have the talent or experience to compete in the big12.

Strong words. It's all about guard play. Colvin grows up and Phillips is as good as advertised and we could be better next year. Even without Craig

Nobody has any idea how the new guys will pan out. We better hope their real good cause they won't get much better with this staff. The best thing about next year is it will be the last for DG.

You got your eligibility left? Why don't you suit up, and help us out at DG's position??

Without CB and probably Gilstrap, we have NO shooters, so my starting line up would include JVB, playing some form of a 3 or 4, giving us an outside threat and some match up problems. We really need him hitting 40%+ from 3 pt land to have a chance. The current guys showed in the K-State game that we currently have no one else to count on. The rest of the line up would be: DG, CC, Boozer and Ham.

They may have to go to a three guard lineup this Wednesday against MU. The problem with a three guard lineup is that we don't have three good guards.

With the wings in place and on the way, I would bet we will go with the traditional 1-5 spots nest year.

Agree 100%, Colvin is the key. I still think we can do some damage in the Big XII tourney with Colvin this year, but I'm a bit too much of a positive Cyclone Fan.

You do know that we will still have Scott, right? When not suffering from mono, he's a great shooter and is able to drive to the basket. Don't judge him on his performance since Lucca left since that is pretty much when he got mono.

sorry if this has already been asked but can anyone give a scouting report on Phillips?
