Yeah I gave up after 10.5 minutes.

One thing that annoys me about the podcasts is how the hosts often want to talk about anything other than ISU sports. I get that maybe you have talked about this on the radio or other venues all week, but a good share of the listeners aren't local and use these pods as their only source of info. Ironically the FART that has random things in the name, talks mostly about sports.

What I really want out of this game is to see that ISU football is ready to act like one of the big boys in these games that should be won easily. We are getting some great press and fans have stepped up with ticket purchases, so it is time to prove it. For too long, ISU has struggled with these FCS/lower FBS teams - to the point where we are holding out breath in the 4th quarter with the result being a narrow win or even a loss. For as long as I can remember, these games have made me nervous because I knew that we would struggle - look at Drake last year for the most recent example. We shouldn't struggle with these games - I don't care if the team we are playing won the FCS championship the year before, they should not be a threat if we truly are ready to play in the big sandbox. For this game, I want/expect the Clones to put it away early and be able to play some of our depth on both offense and defense in the 4th quarter. Anything less will be somewhat disappointing. Just my opinion.

I thought uni/iowa fans were called panther hawks not purple hawks? First time I've head them called purple hawks.

The students at UNI used to call the school ... the Univ of Nothing Important. I will go with Purple Hawks...the other one I just call them the Choke Eyes because they have never seen a Rose Bowl they could CHOKE IN.....

One thing that annoys me is people complaining about free podcasts and content.

I'll be content with covering the point spread. Being old school as long as we get awin it's still a W at the end of the yr.

I have a bad feeling. I think the losses of Montgomery & Butler are huge. I anticipate a nail biter. UNI has a habit of winning every other matchup with us lately. I hate always having to play a bunch of Iowa kids who are pi$$ed they didn’t get a scholarship offer.

Honest question: Did you listen to this podcast: ISU football is literally the only thing we talked about after introducing it what this would be about.

Don’t listen to that guy, he has no idea what he is talking about. The podcast was great and I love the in depth format. BTW, the new studio is awesome! sweet jerseys on the wall!!

I finally got a chance to listen last night. One gem that I got from it was when CW referred to Bryce Meeker as a guard.

Now, given that Bryce has 21 career starts, all at right tackle (iirc), and also given CW’s self-admitted lack of personal football experience, that would seem to be an opinion he had to have picked up elsewhere.

I found it interesting to ponder just where that little factoid had originated. The staff? Brunsie or Woody? Jay Jordan? All the more intriguing, because I also don’t recall such a mention on any podcasts or articles.

Speaking of Ben Bruns, I think it’s about time we got an update on Ben’s perspective of the OL talent “, development and performance level. Perhaps too late to ask that for CF this year, but it’s been a while.

Oh yeah—Go Cyclones!

Paranoia? Chicken Little Syndrome? Either of those fit?

I have no idea what you're talking about? I just think this would be a total Farley thing to do, that's all I'm saying. I don't think it really matters, I just still can't believe that kid actually won the starting job.
