Correct. The tickets are for the upper balcony of the student section which is all general admission always for students. Therefore, this just adds more to the pool for the general admission. If you come relatively early at all, you will easily get to choose your seats. Keep in mind that the students that normally sit up there normally don't come until gametime anyways. Depending on how many tickets they sell, most likely the only people who may get the shaft would be the students who come late.

So if I plan to get there promptly one hour before tip off I should be able to take a seat in the east balcony and not get bothered correct? Is that the general plan I should shoot for. (already bought the tix btw)

You should probably ask the ticket office folks about that. Also, what does the ticket say?

I can't wait for Saturday. Should be the best game atmosphere at Hilton in years.

JP silently watches all CF traffic.

little do any of you know that he is indeed Jambalaya.

I read this over five minutes ago and I'm still chuckling.

That would be sweet. Love this idea and if this doesn't completely fill Hilton nothing will. I agree with the idea that this be done in the future.

If they are SRO tickets then the students would get the priority if the seats filled up. That won't happen though.

In theory, if somebody has to stand it won't be students with season tickets.

Just got a pair of tickets myself, I feel bad that I couldn't make it for more games this year, but I'm super excited about this one!

What's the attendance record at Hilton? Could be broken on Saturday.

Saturday night game on Senior night. Should be some hefty pregaming by all. Will easily be the loudest game of the season.

A record basketball crowd of 15,000 saw the Cyclones post a 97-94 win over Iowa in 1971.

14,376 is the number of people who attended the KU game this year, so using that as a sellout we would need to sell 625 SRO tickets to break that record, which is pretty unlikely IMO.

Wouldn't be so sure of that. These things are selling like hot cakes. I have an additional group of 10 buddies coming up now all due to these tickets becoming available. Great move by the AD. Hilton is going to be PACKED and LOUD!!

I wonder if they would sell that many. There definitely aren't 600 open seats in the GA/upper student section. I would guess that there were a maximum of (for like Oklahoma) 200 open seats. Even if the student showing was that bad (which it won't be because of senior night and Baylor being ranked) would they have 400 people standing in the concourses?

Record is 15,000 vs Iowa in 1971 -- I think capacity is 14,375 which means they'd have to sell 625 SRO tickets to tie the record. -- Hope they sell just a few more
