I bet they go up a lot. I am gold, and I cannot get anything but corner seats. But we have only had tickets since Fred became coach.

I think you're doing something wrong... I don't think any balcony center section sold out last year.. I have friend who just started last year and donated $1000 and sat in section 211.

My guess is the basketball price increase is mainly parquet... which makes sense, parquet seats can go for a couple hundred a game during conference season, and there are people in the upper deck that would love to pay the price to get down there if some in the parquet now won't.. Balcony, even center court balcony, doesnt resell for nearly as much.

I agree. I think it should cost $5k to stay in the parquet and $10k if you are going to be on the center sections. I think there are certainly enough people willing to pay that price. However, people need to understand these price jumps will be passed on to non-season ticket holders on the secondary market. I don't need to hear people complaining about "price gouging" from long-time Cyclone season ticket holders. If you don't want to spend the money for season tickets then please don't ***** about seats being sold for above face value. Because the reality of the situation is that the "face value" on the ticket is well below what it cost the seasont ticket holder when the donation is factored in.

Correct, we can go in row 15-17 of the center, but my row 5 corners are better than that.

I wouldn't mind paying 200-250 for my upper deck ends. Still insanely cheap. Winning takes $.

I'd probably be out but I'm sure somebody would take my spot.

Its fine that they do this but:

They need to figure out a way to keep Fred happy and in Ames. People will not be willing to pay big bucks for to watch Iowa style basketball if Fred leaves.

The good years in football need to be better than 6-6.

I agree on football. I am rapidly approaching $500 for each saturday. Product on the field is going to need to be better in order for that price point to keep up.

Just saying that we leave lots of money on the table by letting so many park for free at Hilton (and CY Stephens, for that matter). There's no other place I've gone to for games or concerts that let this happen...

Can you imagine the mess getting cars parked if they were all having to stop on the way in to pay? There are a ton of people (especially on weekends) coming in for just that one game that year that there would need to be a way to accommodate.

I'd really like to see a map of Hilton with the donation level and points assigned for each seat.

No names, just level and points. Do you think this would change anybody's mind about ticket and donation increases??

The parking passes would be paid for in advance, I believe. I can't imagine they'd have people trying to handle money in January with the backups and problems that would create.

Basically, I think that'll be just like football, except that every lot would be prepaid.

I hope if we're going to pay more to park, they actually take care of the logistics for getting people out after the game. No more hour waits would be nice.

Didnt that happen only once?

I had multiple 45 minute waits, only game that I remember being over an hour though was Michigan.

My parents had a parking pass though so we usually get out sooner, I just didn't ride with them for the Michigan game. I wouldn't doubt if there were hour waits in non-donor lots.

Don't know about an hour, but we could usually hear the entire postgame show before it was possible to turn left, right, or drive over the sidewalk to exit from the north.

In the lot right by South 4th, it's pretty much all blocked in by the time we're at the car, and we're not really stalling.

You need to leave games before they're over
