Insane. Heard they were expecting 17,000 for the watch party. They only averaged 4,000 for games. That is insane.
Crazy, seems like the hype keeps escalating.

Not even gonna dig at Caitlin, but didn't realize #1 pick gets paid that low. Makes complete sense to stay in college with NIL now.
Agree that it's pretty low but hopefully if interest continues rising salaries will go up. Meanwhile I'm sure her endorsements with Nike, Gatorade, State Farm, Buick, Gainbridge, Panini, Xfinity, Topps, Bose, H&R Block, etc., will bring that annual take up a good bit.
They are so excited it is causing fans to visit the message boards of their rivals and shovel more **** on the huge manure pile they shoveled during the season.

Like I've said she is nearing the end of her time. WNBA is not a place you go to keep celebrity status.
Agree and disagree. The ads will continue but the issue comes if she can draw the same attention in the WNBA as in college. There really has not been an example of this happening, so odds are her popularity will fall off in that league. If the popularity drops, her endorsement deals will also follow that trend.
I know there is a HUGE and disgusting pay difference between Men and Women in sports today, there always has been. BUT one has to remember the amount of viewers for an NBA vs WNBA game, the number of teams, etc and it boils down to money in and money out. Even NBA isn't enormous, but WNBA is but a tiny fraction. And, the demographics for ads aren't as ideal as they are for NBA.
