Glad to see he is starting to come into his own as a ball handler and a defender. He'll be some nice bench energy and some secure handling next year, which we are still going to need, still lacking in a "true" point guard to play a lot of time.

I said losing bubu may have cost us a game this season. Not sure if true but he's got a valuable role.

Every time he shot I was all no, no, no YEEESSS. Same with Allen in the second half, although he took great shots for the most part in the first half and made a lot of tough ones in the second half. When I watched Bubu, Harrison and Little Mac in the state finals I honestly thought Bubu was the most impressive. Maybe Harrison was just bored with his competition at the time. I guess that is why I'm not a college coach. Glad Bubu walked on at ISU. Hope his wrist isn't re injured as we may need more minutes out of him to rest Scotty and Chris, or if Scotty has more problems defending. Babb should never leave the game, ever.

I was impressed. Of course, I'm not used to seeing him for more than 2 minutes at a time since he usually wracks up 4 fouls and a ticket to the bench in that time...

Booker brings energy, but man does he make foolish shots and fouls. His air ball three was very ill advised. He should only shoot from there when he is stationary and open by ten feet. Then he is a very good shooter, otherwise, not so much. Still was an overall positive for the team tonight, great rebounding.

Bubu had 2 circus shots that happened to fall. He got airborn with nowhere to go, but somehow he got them to fall. His defense was his real contribution tonight. Allen's defense was great to. You could really see all of our guys working hard on defense tonight.

When Bubu made that high-off-the-glass shot, I knew the game was 95-percent in the bag.

This could have been the best game of the season for several players: Allen (for sure); Bubu, perhaps; effort-wise around the rack, Ejim; Royce in a take-charge scoring mode.

Scotty struggled after about the 15-minute mark, but he was ON during that spree in the first half.

Eating crow has been a common occurrence around here this year. Let's see, we've had rants about Royce, Chris Allen, Scotty, Melvin, Bubu, Booker, Fred and the team as a whole this year. It would be nice if "fans" could just support and believe in their team instead of backstabbing when things don't go perfectly. If people would just back away from the keyboard for a while after a loss and think rationally, there would be no need to "eat crow".

GO CYCLONES!!!

Way to play kid

Weren't you the same guy who said you didn't see anything special in Melvin Ejim or something along that line? Me thinks you don't quite understand what it means to be a quality basketball player.

Honest question have you ever played competitive basketball? If you have, you would know it takes more than "star" power to win games.

He plays smart, plays hard and plays defense well.

The thing that really struck me last year is how fearless he was (as a walkon freshman) on the court. He has no hesitation taking the ball to the hoop against anyone. He's shot an extremely high rate of free throws this year, which is a result of that. He's shot 57 FTs and only 42 FGs.

The other thing about this year is that he's really improved his 3pt shooting and his shot selection. He's shooting 45% (5 of 11) on the season. I know it's a small sample size, but that's a good thing.

I really think he could be the starting PG his senior year, although that depends a lot upon recruiting and young players stepping up.
