Seems to me BF seems to be going south for more players, and our pipeline in MN has slowed down. Nisleit was our last player from MN.

Yeah that is a laugh. Outside the past two seasons when was the last time Iowa was ranked? They have been bad over the past decade.

As much as we like to think they have been bad over the past decade, they have been to the Big Dance seven times, just like us. Their problem, Bluder has never been able to get them past the 2nd round, where we have been to the Sweet 16 and Elite 8. In the last 10 years, both have 7 NCAA's, 2 WNIT's and 1 year with no post season.

Yeah... I'm beginning to get a bit concerned about Bluder and the Hawkeyes. She is out-recruiting Fennelly right now, but she has no business being able to.

Who would want to play in front of 2,000 fans when you can play in front of 3 or 4 times that? Jon Miller even has admitted that if he had a daughter and she was good enough to play Div I ball... she'd be going to ISU.

I do think that Fennelly has gotten quite the reputation for being extremely hard on his girls though. I think Bluder is probably a lot more enjoyable to play for, but is she going to get the best out of you? Will you reach your true potential playing for her? I don't think so.

BF really has to push the Hilton atmosphere over the dead zone over there at Carver in IC. I don't know who would want to play in that horrible venue in front of a few hundred fans?

making the field of 64 is a lot different than being a regular top 20 team. making the dance vs elite eight is very different too.

Bluder is a good coach and Iowa has respectable teams.

BF needs to find his next leader in a guard that will take us back to where we want to be.

Bluder can recruit well enough to compete in the Big 10 and make the dance. She just hasn't been able to coach those talented players past that second round. When I have looked at Blue Star over the over the years, it always seems like Iowa has more top 100 recruits than us, and I think we'd better look out. Early in the season when we play them, their talent helps them at least when we go to IC. Later in the season, though it is BF who is getting the maximum out of his players.

That said, I'd love BF's recruiting to step up a notch. When you have only one player who can score the ball, you need better recruiting.
