The question that really matters at this point is “do they have Instagram?”. Twitter is going the way of Facebook. Boomers Only.

I know nothing about Fran but I do know TJ's stance on it. He used to be very active digitally back when he was an assistant coach. Saw the benefits in recruiting, etc. Now, he believes it is a giant time sucker and not worth the time. He has a million different ways to recruit. Recruits really just want attention from fans, which they get. The programs now all have in-house media departments promoting ISU on Twitter. It's changed a lot in 10 years.

Facebook is the worst. All social media platforms will grow stale and die trying to remain relevant as we are seeing happen with them now. This makes me happy.

I remember tweeting TJ back when he had it still at SDSU, wishing him best of luck for the season and how much I would love to see him return to Ames someday as our head coach. I'll always remember it as I was shocked to receive a very kind message from TJ of thanks, how he will always love Ames, will always consider it his home, and how much he would love for that to happen some day. I didn't honestly expect a response, but found it cool to receive one. Made me really glad to see everything eventually come full circle.

Tell him our only hope is if he posts a video dancing with recruits like Brian Kelly

I believe Snap is probably just as important than Instagram, if not more so, but you’re 100% right about kids bailing on Facebook and Twitter.

Signed,
Guy with Facebook and Twitter that can’t remember his Instagram credentials and whose kids aren’t old enough to be online yet, thank God.
