I shaved the night before the UNI game and don't plan on shaving again til we lose. It's getting shaggy and itchy. But we all have to make sacrifices!

If you shave your beard I will punch you in the ****.

I thought I was due for a haircut, but there is no way in hell I am doing anything that drastic at this point.

PS - I am very superstitious

Do NOT, under ANY circumstances - shave that thing. Stick with it until it fails - then and only then can you shave...

You absolutely cannot shave it. I've worn the same shirt during all three games, without washing it, and it has had beer spilled on it, it was rained on during the UNI tailgate and I sweated in it for a good part of the Iowa game. I will unfortunately miss the Texas game due to a wedding, but I will be wearing the shirt under my tux. The shirt WILL be worn and WILL NOT be washed as long as the team keeps on winning.

Bottom line, everyone has an obligation to stick with what has worked so far. Your wife should understand.

Ok, I started growing a beard in August. My wife does not like the beard and was always commenting on when I am going to shave it off.

I have to admit that I thought we'd probably lose the Iowa game. During the week of the Iowa game, instead of fully giving into her demands I told her that I would shave when ISU loses.

As we all know, ISU has won their last two games in un-ISU fashion and are still undefeated. The wife's rhetoric has started to increase again. Do I finally give in and make the wife happy, or do I plead superstition and state that since I made the statement I have to see the thing thru.

Thoughts?

I don't believe in superstitions;it's bad luck.

I just realized something. We are undefeated on the road this year when Cy gets pushed down the stairs and breaks an arm. So, by the logic expressed here, we're going to need volunteers to go to every road game and push Cy down the stairs. "You have to stick with what works" right?
