Late offer? Could this be in anticipation of R Mason Thomas decommitting?
That was my first thought. Hope it isn't the case.

However, Hamann lists a 4.6 40 at 6'3 230 on his twitter, not a bad time at all for that size and being in high school. Hopefully means he's a solid athlete and seems in line with a few other guys that have been contributors here in the past.

Was a PWO offer (which he'd chosen to go FCS instead) from Iowa St. that bumped to a scholarship offer after some scholarship spots opened with transfers etc. Good for the kid and hopefully gets on campus and develops into a contributor.

Example of why we can't complain too much about guys flipping from us to Oklahoma/LSU. If one of the giants takes our 4 star/high-3 star, we're just going to take a smaller school's high 3-star.
Isn’t this exactly why to complain? When we lose our top recruits we have to replace them with less good recruits.

Regardless, it’s football. Hope he develops. That’s what really matters

Based on my not great memory; Zach Peterson had similar physical measurements coming out of HS

His hudl video looks pretty good. Seems like an OLB that is strong on the blitz.
