Did Floyd really say he would never leave? I know Eustachy said something similar, but I thought it was common knowledge that Floyd was off to something bigger eventually.

No offense but pick a team. You can't like KU if you are a Clone. That's like being a Bears and a Packers fan.

What are you talking about? My favorite teams are ISU, Iowa, Nebraska, and KU! I also love Colorado and K-State. :baffled5wh:
There needs to be a smiley icon that is throwing up, because saying that just made me sick.

Yeah, right before it, he said over and over he was not talking to the bulls and was going to stay at ISU. I think he said that about 15 min before getting on Jerry and Jerry's plane.

You people are crazy. I grew up and lived in Lawrence for 18 years, went to ISU for 4, and now I'm back in Lawrence at KU for Law School.

If you truly want to make me "pick a school," it's not going to look good for the school who hasn't gone to a bowl game in 3 years or an NCAA tournament in 4.

That being said, if you really are making me pick a school, it's going to be KU, and I'll give you a top ten for ISU, which given a sustained lack of success in major sports, isn't going to be pretty.

If you really don't want me as an ISU fan because I'm a KU fan, so be it.

Didn't see that coming...:skeptical:

People from the state of Kansas are notorious for liking two teams in the same conference. It bothered me so much growing up. So many people cheered for KU basketball and KSU football. It boggled my mind and still irritates me. It makes no sense at all.

Am I the only one that doesn't have much of a problem with KUcyclone?

I mean there are people from the state of Iowa that cheer for all Iowa teams except when certain ones play each other... why can't that apply to the conference? (particuarly if said person attended both schools)

Obviously I prefer someone that supports one team but I'm not going to go around acting like a jack *** (or a Hawkeye...) just because someone has a reason to like a team that isn't a rival persay...

That being said, KUCyclone was asking for trouble coming in here swinging... may not be the most intelligent thread ever but take a joke man

The thing I can't stand is most of the Cornholers I know are NU football fans and Creighton BBall fans. Support your damn school

I agree with you flag guy. I am one of those people who cheer for both ISU and Iowa when they aren't playing eachother. But, I cheer for ISU when they do.

I have no problem with KUCyclone cheering for both teams...But the real question is, who does he cheer for when we play KU?

I don't have a problem with kucyclone cheering for both teams. But I was rather put off by his Cartman-like "Well, screw you guys" rant...

Why could you not have 2 teams? If you have ties to two different teams, it makes sense that you might root for both.

Also, this is a ******** thread, becuase the fact is KU has always been a superior BB program and had way more success than ISU and now in one season, they've accomplished more than ISU has ever done in 100+ years of football as well.

Quite frankly, I'm a little jealous of KU right now.

I would like to thank the majority of you rational posters in this thread who defended me. To not accept fans for ISU, especially in a time of limited success in major sports, is silly.

As for the "top 10 list," it is the same jokes we see every day from tigerboard and ksufans.com, so sorry if I got a little defensive seeing the same (bad) jokes I've seen a million times. But a Mangino fat joke...never seen one of those before.

jbhtexas, not sure where I ever said "screw you guys"...

For the rest of you, thanks for accepting me on your board. I've been reading threads here but not posting for a while, but I had to say something about some of the stupidity flying around in the original post. For example, making fun of KU's recent losses in the NCAA tournament is silly for an ISU fan.

As for my "donation to prove I'm a fan," I'm a law student so I don't really have any money, but I did buy football tickets this year.

And I think someone asked who I cheer for when my two teams play each other. The answer: I don't really cheer, I just watch.

I'm not going to lie, I find that hard to believe. I have grown up loving the Packers because that is where I was born and my family is all from there, but then I spent the majority of my life in KC, so I also rooted for the Chiefs. But when they play each other, it's just about impossible to just watch. I always find myself cheering for one team (the Packers).

This is somewhat true. I was hoping KU would win in the football game this year because KU still had a chance of winning a national title, while ISU wasn't playing for much. 2 years prior for that, (the previous game in Lawrence) I was hoping ISU would win because they would win the North with a win.

Basically, I have a team that I would like to win (usually the team that has more on the line), but I don't really care who wins one way or the other, and I don't openly cheer for one team or the other.

Also, for what it's worth, KU fans don't consider ISU to be a rival. ISU is probably no higher than 5th on the list of "rivals" behind Mizzou, KSU, Nebraska, and UNC. I never really thought it was a sin to root for KU and ISU until I saw this thread.

Do you all consider KU to be a main "rival"?

KU isn't a main rival, IMO. All teams in the North or old Big 8 is a love hate game. I respect the old conference and love when ISU wins. As for rivals, Nebraska, Missouri and Iowa would be my rivals. This is more do to location and dealing with cross over fans than anything.
