Does anyone know when the team will travel to Kansas and if they will bus or fly since it is a short trip? My wife was asking these questions and I didn't have an answer other than my opinion.

CFH said after the game that they are leaving tomorrow and will get a shoot around tomorrow night. He also said that he hopes the weather cooperates. He didn't specify whether it was a plane, train, or automobile.

Would be quicker to drive. 3 hours or so and you're there. If you go to the airport, and all the time that takes, it doesn't make sense, IMO.

Does the team always fly out of DM?
I was thinking the BBall team might have a charter plane fly out of Ames. Maybe not..

It's a four hour drive in a car, probably four and a half by bus.

I have no idea what they're going to do, but to sit and wait around at the airport for probably 1.5 hours, and then another 45 minute flight, you're looking at 2.5 hours. If you have a bus you can leave whenever you want and not have to worry about the airport schedules, etc....

I agree. And I think KU always drives to Ames and back, for what it's worth.

They don't sit and wait at all for their charters. They show up, the plane is there for them, they walk right on, and the plane leaves on their schedule.

Flying would be much faster than busing. That said I don't know what they will do. I think they bussed to K.C. in November for the Alabama & Maryland games.

Both women's and men's teams charter flight most games. Most of the time bus to Kansas but this year the ladies bused to KSU and fly to KU. Men follow the same schedule as I understand.

As long as they don't travel with Steve Martin, they'll be OK.

Word is, Dooby's Taxiola was the only transport company left willing to drive from Ames to Lawrence. Next stop: Phog Allen...

On a traveling note, anyone wanting to go Monday? I would pay half gas for a ride and purchase your ticket (within reason $$). Just have some "traveling" issues.
