I’m sure he was frustrated this year with his playing time, but it never showed. He could’ve put his tail between his legs and been a bad teammate, but he was out here full on diving for loose balls in the NCAA tourney. Hope he goes somewhere that gives a bigger role.

Glad for his contributions and good luck to him at his next stop.

Sidebar is IB taking a agent or can he test the waters and come back if he chooses?

I suppose technically he could part ways with the agent, remove his game from the draft, and come back, but, based on the wording below, it’s not happening.

This young man has been a great Cyclone and shows terrific leadership skills. I get why he'd want more playing time with his 4th year but I'll miss him. He's hit some bit shots and his on-ball defending is excellent. And he had to put up with a couple crappy teams when he first got here. Hopefully, he'll find a good landing spot.

Appreciated Tre's effort and does have a starters shot. Hope he finds the right fit at his next stop and can get a big role. Good Luck Tre!

With 10+ shots a game at a lower level, I think Tre is going to be a monster. Could definitely see him helping lead a mid-major to the tourney and an upset or 2 if he gets hot.

I've definitely had a pretty 'meh whatever' response to when players left at times but Tre is one that I'll be actively cheering for wherever he ends up.

His response to his situation this season by cheering on his teammates and playing with such resolve when he was in was great.

This is it. Shoot, there are high school kids on 1A basketball programs with bigger egos than Tre. He really exemplified what it means to be a great teammate and giving his all every chance he got on the court. Loved his attitude and will miss having him represent our university.

Precisely. We have great memories of Tre. Some scoring. Some diving for loose balls. Personally, I dig his headbanded and bearded look. But my favorite was him rising on the bench a couple seconds BEFORE Tyrese put the dagger in LSU’s heart. He knew before anybody what was happening there because he’s a great teammate. I’d want that guy on my team. Selfishly I hope he lands at Drake; would be fun to continue to watch him and I think his contributions there would be valuable.

Good luck tre. Obviously you are a good teammate. I hope your next stop you dominate unless you’re playing us

I thought I saw Jared say that because he went through the draft process without an agent last year he'd be precluded from doing it again this year.

Personally, there’s only 3 guys I care about coming back, and one has already said he’s going pro (Brockington).

Sorry to say, but honestly I’m glad Tre is leaving. I like him and wish him luck, but from a purely basketball standpoint, I think TJ can go find someone better.

The same goes for everyone else on the roster minus Hunter and Kunc IMO.
You have to add Kalscheur into the players that you hope comes back, or i hope at least. With another offseason, his offensive ability is going to pick up and he is one of the best lock down peremiter defenders in the country.

Continually see statements like this but I can’t help but wonder where this narrative comes from. He was even B12 All Conference Defensive Team.

I didn't say he was one of the best all around defenders in the country now did I... You may just be an offensive minded fan. Assuming Gabe stays, next Big 12 season, just pick one game to focus solely on Gabe's defense. Very fascinating. You will be impressed..

I fully expect Kalscheur to be back and love his leadership and defensive game.

Expecting a big jump from him on offense from year 4 to year 5 feels like wishful thinking though. Ideally he's the 4th or 5th option when he's on the court next season because he has had for a few years now a rare mix of historical inefficiency, a lot of turnovers, and high usage. If he can take that jump to even being a net neutral player on offense it will be big.

Yeah my hope for him is to just be able to play within himself and be more efficient on offense. He scored almost 10 a game this year. I'd be perfectly fine with 8 or so but much more efficiently
