A few things:

1) Obviously, like most (every?) ISU football fan... 2021 has been disappointing.

2) We still have a shot at 8 wins which would send this group of seniors out tied (with last year's seniors) for the most wins over any 4 yr period in ISU history with 32 wins.

3) Keeping the big picture in mind, a big turn out to the last home game to keep our avg attendance over 60k for the year would be a great way to send this team out...

4) We may have a record draft class with a lot of guys from this team getting a shot to play in the NFL, which will continue to help our recruiting...

5) .... and speaking of recruiting, lot's of young talent has been brought in, lot's to look forward to with CMC going forward.


In the end, I think this quote from Roosevelt sums up my thoughts on this team... these men in the arena have truly spent themselves fighting to put Cyclone football on the map. Their effort and accomplishments should be celebrated!

And interesting about T. Roosevelt quotes, he had quite a few. I wonder if he had help with some of them from his speech writers, or if he did them alone? This was a fairly long one.

One Roosevelt quote that Coach Campbell uses a lot is, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” This sums up pretty well how Campbell feels about coaching and his players.

I sure hope we are able to hold on to Matt thru this current coaching carousel. We could sure use him to stay during all this realignment nonsense. If he does go now (or sometime soon) I will be forever thankful for his time and what he has done in Ames. Love these seniors and what they have done. Hope they can finish strong. Peace.

Also expectations should be a lot lower next year with so many unknowns, which is great IMO after a year like this.

I'm most worried about losing Rose, we beat WVU easily if he played.

They will be, but they shouldn't be. Lowering expectations indicates that we haven't really built much of a program here. That isn't where we want to be.

Had the Texas Tech game not happened, I probably would have agreed with you about WVU.

I'm more worried about Koler. How many times has he caught a pass for a 1st to keep a drive alive? Far more than I can count!

We have lost the close games this year. It is still the best time ever to be a Cyclone football fan. 10 straight conference wins at home is unreal given our recent past.
