Not even roster sizes -- just the number of bodies required to field a lineup.

Football is 3.54:1 (85 scholarships, 24 starting positions)
WBB is 3.0 (15 to 5)
MBB is 2.6 (13 to 5)
Baseball is 1.30, if you assume no DH and only one pitcher
Wrestling is 0.99 per weight class
I probably should leave this alone, but it is a little disingenuous. You can't just completely ignore wrestling's lack of substitution.
There are over 30 distinct positions on a football team. Close to 60 players typically participate in a given game.
You can't realistically play only 5 players in a basketball game. 7-9 is very typical.
You cannot under any circumstances I am aware of; field more than 10 wrestlers in any given dual meet (obviously) or tournament (attached to team scoring).

But I am not trying to diminish your overall point that wresting is scholarship starved, as are most non-basketball/football sports, particularly men's. (LOL at men's bowling getting 0 scholarships, but women's bowling gets 5.)

Pretty valid point. Sometimes we lose sight of certain items depending on which side of the discussion you want to be on.

From my interpretation of what your saying you'd have to assume MBB has 13 scholarships. Then they should be spread among 7-9 guys whom actually see action.

Then wrestlers whom have 9.9 scholarships should be spread out among 10 - 14 guys who start (considering injury or guys getting beat out).

Still a difference but maybe not as big as how it was originally laid out.
