How far the Big 12 FOTY has fallen... Is he even a take for a P5 school at anything over a bench/reserve role?
If Tyrese wants any shot at a pro basketball career, he should go to a MWC, WCC (GZ,STM,OSU,WSU), or A-10 school and go try to average 20/5/5 while shooting a high % from 3...
He could do all of those things and still not make it to the NBA. He is too small
No matter what any of us think of him, he can come in and still be steady.

There were only 35 guys in the country that averaged 20 PPG and Tyrese isn't skilled enough to be one of them unless he's at a true low major.
I understand why he did what he did and I hope he gets another check this year but the kid's ceiling is a decent level of Euroball.
Looked to me like he lost his confidence at some point. He was an observer far too often out there.
Which, if the case, makes total sense to grab the payday he did while he could
He unfortunately won’t make much at all going overseas at the level he’s at. Probably gonna end up on some 2nd tier league over there.
Grass wasn’t the “green” he was looking for.
I hate the portal and NIL. But for guys that know they are long shots for the pros, getting the bag in college while they can is their best option for a skill people covet (basketball).
Of course he's P5 starter quality if he wants to be. Have you seen how depleted some rosters are? OU, OSU, Tech, KSt. That's just the ones I know off the top of my head. Hell Calipari only started with one kid on the team.
Honestly not a bad strategy if he wants to get to the NBA. If there's one thing Prohm's good at it's pg's.

He's a great talent and MANY P5 teams will and should want him.

Texas is a dumpster fire of mismanagement, and he was always a little bit of an offensive project.. it's not that surprising that he didn't do as well there.

I don't known if I would call him great. He's definitely a high major starter for someone and he'll probably get a decent NIL offer, but his size is a big problem for him with his limited offensive skills.
