He has to score a ton because you know he isn't going to defend anything. Same can be said for Niang, Clyburn, and Lucious.
I disagree McGee puts in a much better effort on the defensive end then Korie Luscious. Korie may be the worst on ball defender I have ever seen.

McGee has a TON of mental lapses defensively. He makes some good plays and gets the occasional steal, but he's usually the worst defender on the floor for ISU when he's in the game in terms of playing good position defense and stocking with his guy.

IMO the entire team plays atrocious defense accept for Babb. McGee doesn't play great defense but he plays with great effort, I can't say that about most of the rest if the team.

Bubu is above average because he guards with his feet. Needs about 30lbs on his frame to be effective.

McGee's effort is what gets him in trouble. Whether he helps one pass away or takes off to try and block a three point attempt he's hurting the team more than helping defensively. That's part of why Ejim and Niang are all but guaranteed foul trouble each game. Clyburn, McGee, and Lucious are as anti-defense as you can get.

McGee plays hussle defense, but not perfect. He goes after the ball and play with a passion on both offense and defense.

He was the top scorer this game and has earned national prominence in his own right.

He flat out deserves the recognition and honor of starting in his final game in Hilton. Personally, I will be very disappointing if he does not start.

So start Clyburn at the 4 and have Niang come off the bench? I'd be okay with that.

The starters in the first four minutes did not do very well. They needed Tyrus today.
