Listen I don't even know where United Arab Basketball is from.. I haven't heard of them before.. I'm not worried. TCU would probably walk all over them. TCU for crying out loud.

Question...trying to plan my Sat. If we should win against UAB..we play Sat..at same time?? Does it work that way? I work Sat until 1. Just curious if it follow same 11:30 game.Thanks.

I believe it's pretty much based on the most marketable games. Kentucky will get the marquee times for as long as we're playing in the same venue.

All joking aside, I recently listened to a podcast where the guest was Carolyn McKinstry, who was the daughter of the pastor (I believe) of the 16th street baptist church and was in the building when it was bombed. She wrote a book, "While the World Watched: A Birmingham Bombing Survivor Comes of Age During the Civil Rights Movement". While I didn't read the book, if she writes as well as she speaks, it'd be a good one.

OK, back to the joking...while they make fun of our corn and pigs, I ask...would you rather be known as someone from where corn and pigs are the most notable things, or somewhere where you're known as that place that used to be so GD backward that someone thought bombing a church was an okay thing to do?

Alabama was a lot more backwards even than that.

Not to mention that corn and pigs are big money ventures. People always mock Iowans for being "flatlanders" or farming hicks, but our state is prosperous while growing food for the world. Other states may have beautiful land but it does not produce income like our land does.

I like how they're bashing Alabama in that thread. The average UAB fan's reading level is probably about six grades higher than the average Alabama fan.

I wish Alabama and Mississippi would just become one single state. Surely if combined they could produce something worthwhile.

Joe Lunardi picked UAB to Beat ISU....
Welp, it was a nice season boys :wideeyed:

SMH. He needs to step away from the brackets for a bit.

He also said that he tends to predict upsets too much, and that his family dog had a better bracket than him one year.

I wouldn't put too much stock into what these guys are saying. Generations of inbreeding in Alabama doesn't make the smartest bunch of people.
