UFC Thread

I’m old, but sports were way better when opponents hated each other. These made for TV events are terrible. They don’t care if they win or lose because they are making so much money. And I am to blame for actually watching.

Glad I fell asleep before the "big fight."

Also, UFC announced McGregor's return during this event? LOL

Not really. Everyone knew what would happen and it was basically on free tv
Exactly. I didn't lose any $$$. Nice having it on Netflix and UFC on Paramount+, already have subscriptions to both.

That said, what a total bust of a fight. They spent more time hugging after the fight than they did fighting. Carano collected >$1 million for 17 seconds of phoning it in. She's always been way overrated as a fighter.

Hitching your wagon to Trump will be the UFCs beginning of the end moment.

He has been going to UFC fights for 20 years. White and him have been friends since 2014. Trump won't hurt anything the UFC is doing. He has not now and he didn't hurt it in the past. If anything hurts the UFC it would be lack of star power. They need some American stars like they used to have with Lidell, Ortiz, Jon Jones and some of the rest. Dagistani wrestlers are not going to cut it with the American audience.

UFC will be fine. The damage will be more in the other direction. Just more ridiculous opulence when the average joe will be paying 7 dollars for a gallon of gas.
