C. It's true that when this game was scheduled, our Cyclone program was in a bad place. However, I'm sure the UL Monroe athletic department was happy to take the game as long as the check cleared.

On a side note, anyone have any idea when this will be scheduled. I assume they won't use the 1 week option or whatever on this game. So shouldn't we be seeing a time for this soon. Trying to get some plans worked out for this one and damn it, I need a time.

My comment is accurate and I stand by it. Don’t act like Iowa State has been some football juggernaut for years and years. And in no way am I saying that we’ve been that great either. (And that’s ULM for you ignorants that don’t read). The point to my comment is that when this game was scheduled, you guys weren’t that good, and by the time it comes to play the game, you guys are good. That’s been the story for a lot of teams we schedule. See you in 2 weeks.

Our 3-9 teams would still have handled ULM.

We were actually ranked for 3 weeks that season, as high as 14th following our upset over #4 TCU.

The season had its ups and downs, but be careful if you’re trying to claim that we weren’t very good. The Cyclones beat two top-5 teams, won 8 games, and won the Liberty Bowl. That’s about as good as we’ve ever been.

Interesting. I always equated Duck Dynasty to Louisiana Tech due to Phil's awesome FB career there.
