Unbelievable High School Mascots

As if high school isn't rough enough... how would you like to be a "Cornjerker"

Is this along the mentality of the song, "a Boy Named Sue?" With a name like that you get tough or you die...

Yeah, next time someone complains that they don't like the "I-State" logo, just have them look at this list and they won't feel so bad.

The cornjerkers, and (are kidding me) pretzels are great. How would you like to be on a girls' team with the meloneers-do you have to qualify with a certain bra size?

Newton use to be called the 'little washers' back in the day because of Maytag I believe

I also went to Des Moines Lincoln. We are the Railsplitters. Our mascot was a dude dressed up like Abe Lincoln but cartoonish.

The Farmington Farmers were a good one that I played against in High School....

I almost worked in Frankfort Indiana..... The Hot Dogs... kills me.

We were driving through New Braunfells a few years ago and saw the Unicorn mascot outside the high school. I absolutely had to stop to buy a t-shirt (the unicorn on my shirt isn't as tough looking as the one on the linked site). I wear it proudly to this day.

Well now no one can't give Johnston crap (Chris Hassel this is your que) about being the dragons. Although back in the old days Johnston was called the Johnston Beacons, then switched to the Admirals, then eventually the Dragons
