You are correct. Had Wesley played fully healthy last season rather than redshirting as a transfer, he could be playing for a whole lot of money right now, rather than for syracuse.

You know, I'd like to think that WJ would have had the same type of success at ISU under GM if fully healthy but I have serious doubts in my mind of that being the case.

Boeheim clearly knows how to utilize guys with the talent of WJ to their maximum level. He knows how to put guys into the pros while having success himself at SU. GM does not appear to be able to do that...just look at our returning lottery pick this year (CB is who I am talking about). I believe GM clearly failed CB this year.

My point is simple...WJ playing an extra season for Boeheim has increased his "stock" and he will be paid much more because of it while CB playing an extra season for GM appears to have decreased his "stock" and likely his paycheck.

He'll be playing for a whole lot of money soon enough. Who do you think gets the bigger contract, Johnson or Brackins?

Couldn't have said it better. Does anyone believe that our team would have been any better this year with WJ? Unfortunately I for one don't trust that McD would have been able to manage that talent effectively at all.

If our medical staff had made a proper diagnosis, he probably would have been here last year and maybe this year. Mac maybe could have been a little less demanding, but I know I would have done the same thing he did if I was told there was nothing wrong.

So, if that is the case... what's Wesley going to do and say about Syracuse now? They made him play 8 games through a hand injury, and just recently were able to properly diagnose it. Finally drained the fluid and his hand is good to go.

How could they not find that injury sooner!?! I mean, we could all tell his hand was hurting. Any capable doctor should have known to drain the fluid right away. Syracuse will be kicking themselves for this one, Wesley will hold a grudge and now he'll probably go pro.

"Really, my mindset was to be aggressive on defense, so I think that carried over to the offensive end," said Johnson, who is finally healed from an injury to his right (shooting) hand in February against Connecticut. "My shot was falling."

Too bad he didn't have that mindset in Ames.
I turn the channel when I see interviews about him. The smile he flashes is crap. I don't care if people think it is GMac's fault he left or not. His brother shopped him around in HS, Prep School and College. He left after he signed his scholly papers and lease. That is all I need to know that he is as dirty as they come.

His brother played the game to a T though. Wes will make millions next year and his bro probably already had a cushy job near Syracuse.

I don't like how he left either, however, I refuse to resort to revisionist history. When healthy, he was a our best player. I wish he would have been here last year playing with Brackins.

I'm not rooting for him, but I still recognize what he did while he was here.
CF is the only place on the Internet where you can find the term "revisionist history" used daily.

Yeah, because he got no pub and was underutilized at ISU.:jimlad: That is just silly. Never mind Big 12 al rookie team and Honorable mention All American

Yes, you are so right. GM is a much better coach than Boeheim. GM has had much more success than Boeheim and has put way more guys into the pros than Boeheim. Silly me. I apologize for the transgression...will you ever forgive me?

You guys that are blaming WJ for not taking a medical red shirt have to remember the guy was told repeatedly that it was just swelling and he had to man up a little. Maybe if they told him it was broken, he might have had a different answer.
