***UNI Dual Preview/Predictions/Results***

This is a historically good season for UNI. They haven't been this good since 1962. They beat Oklahoma a few weeks ago and would be favored against Oklahoma State. Should all the coaches in the conference be fired?
ISU's chances of returnimg to prominence ended when Nebraska and Missouri left. If ISU continues to try to make the Big12 work in wrestling they will continue their decline until the program gets dropped. They (and the other Big12 teams) need to find a new home.
The problem is KJ is not great at pulling in top shelf talent and is only marginally good at coaching players up. You have to be good at one or the other otherwise you are not a top 10 team and really outside of the top 10 in wrestling is a bad place to be. Iowa State should be able to say "Hey we are in the top 5 historically for winning national titles and are historically a top 5 team, you should want to be a part of that." KJs approach seems to be "I can get you to the olympics" great... this is college wrestling and he is actually pretty bad at getting people to the olympics as far as ISU is concerned.
Yep, and we still suck. So there's that.
These guys don't even seem to care or want to wrestle hard for their coach. Schwab has taken UNI further in a shorter time than KJ has taken Iowa State. That is a fact. We're just getting smoked.
Losing matches to #5 UNI in West Gym is not pathetic. I'm still hanging in there with KJ. He has us moving in the right direction. It is just that a surprisingly good UNI is getting in the way today.
Correct. Historically we are a top 5 college wrestling team. Now we're horrible and nobody wants to come here. But hey, KJ's fine. He'll get it turned around someday.
You are judging a college coach by how well he gets people to the Olympics? Seriously? Do you recognize how special that is? And how fortunate ISU has been in this regard over the years? This is one of the drawing cards of our program, embodied by KJ. Is there any coach in the country that is a success in your mind according to that standard?
I'll leave that as an exercise for the reader. Since anybody who had been paying even a moment of attention to wrestling this year would know the answer to that. I even post the rankings every week.
Showing that you know as much about wrestling as you do about EVERY OTHER FREAKING SPORT.
