Crazy talk. I'm not happy, and perhaps I'm in denial, but Iowa will not beat us this year. We may not be good, but they are not even average.

Far be it for me to defend Iowa, but they didn't look too bad in a loss last night. They have some serviceable players and play as a team. I wouldn't be so quick to chalk up a W in that one.

If they can hang with Texas for a half they can surely hang on against us ... and lord knows we'll let them win if its close in the end. That's kind of our signature move.

People need to get off the strong valley talk..
Yes they are strong.

BUT no Valley team should come in a win AT FRICKIN Hilton with a coach that is got schooled by Valley schools.

I bet we have a better showing for a game with Kansas, Mizzou, Texas etc....I just don't get it.

I love all the people who defend UNI and the Valley.......do the frickin math...
we have been losing to valley teams. How many ncaa tourney teams have we had when losing to valley teams?
hmmmm. oh, zero. right.
Now I have to put up with my Gay bro in law that says UNI is the greatest.

You've probably already had to put up with him a lot. First UNI comes in and kicks around ISU in Jack Trice. Then they beat them 3 of 4 years in basketball. Maybe you oughtta just join his team...UNI I mean.

GMac talks about how we're still learning how to win and UNI already knows how to win. Who's fault is that? Haven't we been saying that for Gmac's entire tenure?

The Valley has gotten pretty strong in the last decade. I don't think they used to send as many teams to the NCAA tournament as they regularly do lately.

And we have become weaker. We cannot even rebound against NW and UNI.

Re: I'd rather watch Iowa play than this

Look, I hate the Hawkeyes as much as anyone, but at least those guys play hard and play the right way. They suck talent-wise, but I'd rather watch a bunch of guys playing hard for 40 minutes than the crap that we have been putting on the court. And for the record, i place 100% of the blame on coaching.

They do put undermanned well coached teams on the field.

Greg stinks. Instead of winning a chance to shoot for a car we should just let that guy coach the team. He might let the players play at least.

1. Hilton does not equal Dean Smith Center or Cameron Indoor Stadium. Remind me what the win % is at Hilton over the past, say...3 years. Doubtful its much over .500.

2. 8th Grade English. Try again.

How bout, UNI is good, and returns a veteran team that has won titles and played in the NCAA's?

ISU has a ton of new players. It takes time to learn to play together as a team. They will be good by mid season.

his slow paced games lack of physical play and need of an exciting touch nosed d-fence has whipped out all magic

I completely agree with you, but you better hide. Wolves are out.

Ask Greg to step down or let me have a chance

I think UNI is the favorite to win their conference. They probably aren't great, but they have pretty much their whole team from last year, which went to the NCAA tournament. Just given that they're all back and have played together probably helps a lot.

Considering they are a decent team and this was an in-state rivalry game, it's not that surprising to me that they pulled off the win.
