UNLV is slowly coming back to relevance

If that is your point then okay then.

The point of my original coming in here was the bashing of the MWC. Why play in the MWC when you can play in the 'almighty Big 12.'

MWC and Big 12 basketball wise aren't so different. Take Kansas and this year OSU out and the conference isn't so good.

Just Stahp... Why do you feel the need to come here and defend your program so much? We get it... UNLV is on the up and coming..

Every time you jump into a thread that mentions UNLV, to explain and defend them as a program, makes it look like you have no/low confidence as a fan.... Just the fact that you ended up on this board goes to show that you were most likely scouring the internet for any mention of UNLV to help you feel as though they are relevant.....

Face it, ISU and UNLV are fairly similar in regards to BB programs at the moment. Different strengths/weaknesses, but overall similar level. These arguments are like the lame neighboring states and towns whining at each other. Any of the points brought up are likely somewhat valid in terms of competing for a recruit, but may not mean a thing. I'm sure whoever was competing against SMU (UK? don't remember) for Mudiay won all the arguments on why he should go there and we all know how that turned out.

If Vaughn doesn't commit to us, then I hope he goes to UNLV. Won't have to play him like we would if he went to KU or Tarp, and Minnesota will realize their place

You need to work on your math. B12 is 17-14 in these years.

Edit: it's 19-15 in favor of the Big 12 if you count 2011 which you left out. Oops.
To be fair the website listed the records wrong twice I fify in the table.

If not us, you're right..no KU. But if he went to Minn. he could terrorize Iowa twice a year.

True, but I really hope Minn to be terrible and either continue to be terrible or have to rebuild again. And all MN recruits to come south on 35.

The Mountain West is a solid basketball conference and UNLV is near the top of it. The Big XII is a solid basketball conference and ISU is near the top of it. I don't see a big difference between the two.

The two conferences are performing equally right now. The Big 12 is just on TV a lot more. Big 12 wins!

Yup, MWC dropped the ball in the tourney. Especially that UNM loss.

However, New Mexico did go into Cincy and beat a top 10 team at the time in their own building...(the same team you lost to on neutral court.)

Colorado St. beat former Big 12 Missouri in the first round...
San Diego St. beat Oklahoma by 15 in the first round.
We beat you by 12 with 2 freshman, 2 transfers and 3rd string center.

I don't get this Big 12 superior talk. You have Kansas...which puts you over the top. Baylor was good with vegas kid Jackson. Other than that I don't see many teams that would be favorites or even top 3 in the MWC.

In fact, since 2008 Big 12 is 19-15 vs MWC teams.

Dear Troll, glad to see you went back under your bridge. But I do think you should correct your farse. Oh well I will.

I got on a plane today and flew over Vegas. Therefore, ISU wins.

Am I doing it right, UNLV guy?
