I was just wondering if anybody knows how the ncaa has reviewed the suspension and its status....Will he be able to start against the horns?

I'm fine with the first half suspension because that seems to be the norm...but something is wrong with the system if the Baylor guy gets the same punishment. He jumped over the ref to slap a player in the helmet which started that specific confrontation, it was clearly an out of the ordinary weird thing to do. I can't remember ever seeing it before.

I think Tommy Birch tweeted saying, "the Big 12 has 24 hours to comment on if the suspension will carry over to the texas game. If the big 12 doesn't say anything, ISU has the next 24 hour window to appeal the suspension." Basically, ISU is going to be sending in the appeal today.

I personally don't expect to have him in the first half, but I am going to spin to sound awesome for ISU.

Just think if ISU goes in to halftime with a lead, ISU has the offense to milk clock and sit on that lead, but now ISU is getting a rested and pi$$ed off David Montgomery and Texas is tired from the first half and now has to try to tackle him!

Tommy Birch tweeted last night that the big 12 has 24 hours to make an announcement if its different then the typical protocol that is followed. It's at that time that Iowa State can appeal the ruling. So it's basically a done deal that he is suspended for the first half.

Agreed. DM lost his cool (and he admitted as much by apologizing postgame), but he was clearly provoked. Those shouldn't be equal suspensions.

The other part is where there were 3-4 guys piling on Butler. David was pulling 52 off that pile to start with. Butler was very lucky to get out of there without an injury, it took half the line to clear the guys off of him.

It'd be great if the Big 12 applied some common sense here but the odds of them overturning a first half suspension of our best player against Texas is nill.

Edwards hit the ref. Has the Big 12 commented on his suspension?

Shouldnt the fact that he made contact with a ref be an issue too?

I would be fine with him being suspended for the remainder of the Big 12 season.

I know you shouldn’t be fighting but it was kind of cool to see 6-7 ISU players run from where the play ended to where Butler was getting attached all in unison.

I almost guarantee he'll miss the first half because the suspension is up for Big 12 Review and the Big 12 has absolutely no reason to help ISU or hurt Texa$'s chances of winning.
