Wisconsin fan on Reddit says because he's a tweener, not really a 4 or 5, Gard was worried about fit. Wisconsin is weird. Didn't go after Tyrese Hunter either.

They didn't hit out too hard for Hali either iirc.

WI hasn't really had an identity under Gard like prior so I'm not sure what the 'fit' is.

Out all of those I thought Blackwell was going to pan out but honestly none did and they all dropped to lower levels to keep playing. Looked it up transferred to Clayton State and isn't listed on their roster.
