Kinda off topic. Why don't we ever see stats pertaining to bench presses, squats, 40 yard dash, etc....
Have forever heard about off season development (weight gains in particular)
minus mention of increases in strength and speed (actual #'s).
I'd like to hear stuff like, "James Neal's bench press has improved by 40 pounds this off season."
"Abu's 40 time continues to improve since arriving on campus..."
Prior to Rhabdogate, EIU would hype those numbers every offseason. We've never heard a peep going back through every ISU regime I can think of. All we get is a Twitter/X tease of someone doing a bench press every other summer.

The last I heard, while they have players run sorints, they don’t time 40’s.

I am absolutely certain that Kagy’s staff tracks everything else, however.

A long snapper at 225? That dude loves the new rule where you can go directly at them, he'd get blown up non stop.

I wonder. Has any ISU football player ever exceeded a 400 pound bp?
Football weight room videos tend to, imo, reveal pretty wimpy lifts. Nowhere near significant stacks of 45 pound plates, each side of the bar, Ever. Not being an *******.
Just wondering

Iirc, Dom Orange is currently mentioned with a 450 lb bench on the “Freaks” list.
