Steffen didn’t look great on the 2 goals. He’s Gregg’s fave, so I don’t know if it’s going to mean anything, but he was not inspiring confidence in those moments tonight.

I don’t know why he’s the #1. We need a shot stopper first and foremost. He may be better with his feet (still not that good) than Turner but Turner is twice the shot stopper that Steffen is

We should have started with a fresher lineup. Looked tired in 2nd half. Tough place to play for sure and glad we got results at Azteca and Panama. Fact is, these outcomes won't matter when were watching them in November.

When do they pick the roster for the world cup?
Probably a couple months before it begins so they can get a few training camps in. The groups are set this Friday so we’ll know who we play.

They can announce a roster but will be final a couple weeks before the games start as they will all be playing for their club teams right about 10 days before the WC. Won't be a lot of time to get ready and guys could pick up injuries.

They will be in POT 2 on Friday for the draw which should lead to a more manageable group. https://stattosoftware.com/wc2022/ is a fun site that simulates groups.
