Make sure everyone is certain of the decision. Wait for a few years after most recent kid. The reversal is much more painful.

Why would you not? Maybe make a pro/con list and balance out the consequences.

Got one after number 3. I went to Iowa Urology and it was a breeze. I sat around for a day or two because I was told even if you feel like you can, don’t. The pain of overdoing it doesn’t happen right away. It was worth the 50 dollar copay or whatever it was.
Much cheaper than paying 35 grand for a wedding if you have a daughter.

Had mine done in 1987, best decision I ever made, we had four kids, and did not want any more. Got the wife off birth control, which she was horrible about remembering to take each day. No longer have to worry about unexpected gifts, would do it again without any thought.

As a Cyclone fan and all the kicks to the stones. I’ve never needed one.

I actually had one 30 years ago. My wife was about to pop with our son. She was going in to be strong for me during my procedure on Friday. The doctor told the nurse to get my wife out of the room because he didn’t want to give a vasectomy and deliver a baby. She had our son the following Tuesday.

The wife told me I could have her anytime I wanted if I got the procedure. Got it on a Friday, went crazy the next day as Seneca Wallace beat Nebraska. Stitches came loose from all of the jumping around but I survived. Just do it.
Dang, I should have done some better bargaining with mine

Not exactly sure.
Anybody in particular recommended to do the deed? I remember CW had one advertised years ago, but don't know if one is better than any other (DSM area). I've been saying I need to for awhile so what better time than now.

Bonus points if I can get in before my cruise at the end of January.
I wouldn’t let CW do it

Be careful. Isn't 10 years when they say if it's going to grow back together this is about when. I'm pretty sure my college roommates girlfriend/now wife's father had another kid 10 years after his vasectamy. And yes it's his.
That is 100% not a thing. It can happen but happens in less then 1% of procedures and their certainly isn’t a timeline. It can happen months, or years after the procedure

Tell her she has to take the sperm sample to the clinic a few weeks after. But it can't be carried in by her hand.

After three kids, we were ready to be done with having children. Our fourth child was conceived after the consultation and about a week before the procedure….

Regarding the procedure, it took me about 5 maybe 6 days to feel 100% but I felt fine after 2 days.

Our fourth child was a boy; resulting in girl, girl, boy, boy and we are over the moon with our blessings!
