While I understand why they used angles, T beams, and WF beams, I do wish they'd used pipe for the uprights. I think it's a cleaner look and would help tie it into the practice facility a little bit. I'm sure the cost of fabrication would have closed to doubled though with all the welding and fitting.
I am mildly surprised that they've got steel on site and we haven't seen a crane show up down in from of the Jacobsen building. I'm guessing we won't be seeing a crawler down there (otherwise it probably would have showed up by now and been put together) and it'll be a hydraulic truck crane. I'm just wondering what size? I'm guessing you could do a lot of assembly with a 70 or 80 ton picker but setting that videoboard assembly is going to take something with a little more capacity.

Why is it that whoever is running this webcam is watching the parking lot while they moved the support column to in front of the Jake?
I haven't been able to get the webcam to load all day. Is it down, or is something interesting happening causing everyone to crowd it?
Its too long and skinny. It would look a lot better if it was a little bit fatter. None the less, much (x567) better than we have right now.
