Why would you want to arbitrarily hold someone back? If Rohach is the guy it shouldn't matter if Richardson got some experience this year. You want every player at every position to be the best he can be whether he is #1 on the depth chart or #4 or lower. Even if Rohach passes Richardson in the spring or offseason you still want Sam to be as ready as he can be since there is a chance you will need him to play. Last year's #3 going into spring ball played quite a few snaps and it has a decent chance of happening again this year. And that is to say nothing of the possibility that Sam could be the #2 behind Rohach if Grant wins the job.
