1) Contact the Salvation Army. They are ALWAYS short on bell ringers.
2) Contact that pastor at yours (or a nearby) church. Guaranteed they'll have plenty of worthy opportunities they'll be aware of.

I just went over to the food bank of Iowa yesterday and stuffed envelopes for a couple of hours.

Sycamore 8 and Work Systems Rehab 4 | Central Iowa Trail Association

Off road race... these guys maintain the mtn bike trails around DSM... a good & hearty group of guys & chicks too

for those so inclined, we need a few hearty volunteers to aid in marking & marshalling course this weekend & setting up for the Sycamore 4/8
