I am very glad I didn't watch this episode. Did the writers really need to go there?

Ugh. Yes, they did. If the show isn't going to be an orgy of zombie killing every week they have to explore what happens when the people that are left are unstable, potentially threatening other people and/or scumbag gangs (the dudes that Daryl hooked up with).

I applaud the writers for going there. I'd like the show better if I knew there was a legit possibility that every single character could get killed.

The second half of season four has been absolutely amazing. I think it has now over taken season best as best in the series, amazing writing, acting and character development. Lizzy was the best child actor so far on the show.

This episode was dark and deep...again. I am looking forward to the final two episodes and how they tie things up and bring the group together. Not to mention what gets set up for season 5.

I have seen some people complaining about this season, what the crap more could you want?

I agree. The first half of the season was the new writing leadership playing recovery for the disaster that the last half of season 3 was, this half has been tremendous. So much better at developing characters so i actually care about them.

It was crazy how quickly it went from having a happy little family, maybe we can stay to leaving the grove... It shows just how quickly everything can change. Does anyone else think the fire is the moonshine house?

They had so many anvils drop about Mika. Then they make me like her some. Wasn't expecting that.

Carl's future dating pool drastically diminished. They really need a Rick episode soon.

Yes. If you remember when they set it on fire, zombies were coming to it before they left. It makes sense.

As soon as they said, Maybe we can live here, I knew everything would go to ****.

I just wish it was only Lizzie that "bit" it.

Was reading up on the Walking Dead forums and somebody with some supposed "inside" info (I'm sure he's full of ****) said next episode has an even more massive bombshell. Of course with it being one episode before the finally I'm sure it's quite easy to go out on a limb with that one.

Yup.

Hubby has been complaining about the fact that so few have crossed paths already...how far could they have all traveled from the prison...particularly the ones that have been on foot the whole time?

Based on the preview they showed on Talking Dead, it looks like it's a Daryl + episode, and apparently his alliance with the biker gang is ill-fated...

Slighrly more messed up...

On Talking Dead, Melissa McBride talked about the puzzle on the table she and Tyrese were sitting at. The puzzle had been there as a prop throughout the shooting of the episode, as if the girls might have worked on it. Right before shooting the forgiveness scene, which was towards the end of the scheduled shoot, the director showed the two of them what the puzzle was....a picture of Sophia.
