And then there's Negan's big plan? Roll out the ******* no one likes so he can give some dumb ass ultimatum for people to go home? JFC WD, you had like six months to put this **** show episode together....

LOL. Yea, that was hilarious. Negan all cocky and the best he had was to roll out lame Gregory.

The episodes are almost getting painful to watch...it's not good. I didn't even watch the season 8 premier until a couple of days ago.

I keep screaming WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GREAT DIALOG AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT THAT MADE THIS SHOW GREAT?

We get a 35 minutes of random gunfire each episode (where is all of this ammo coming from), a few characters grunting at each other, and one or two people making a motivational speech. There has been next to no character dialog, no good character interaction, etc.

This thing has turned into a shoot 'em up, blow 'em up summer action movie. It's sad.

I hate to pile on here, and typically am annoyed at WD haters but the show really has begun to go down hill in a pretty serious way. Maggies fake southern accent just seems to get worse, how many dumb speeches will we get this season, the thousands of rounds of ammo seemingly coming from nowhere and finally the 1 millionth time Rick contemplates his lost humanity while members argue over killing captives or not.

All done a million times already on the show.

Agreed. I will continue to DVR and watch, but when Rick let yet another person get the drop on him while he stood there with his dead-eyed, bewildered look and sweat-dripping hair, I nearly hurled. Seen this so many times. Either nut up and go beast mode, or have your breakdown and go away.

Embarrassing to say (but it was late after the WS game and I was tipsy), but I am actually confused. Team Rick gets the walker horde to surround the main Sanctuary HQ last week. This week, Morgan and Jesus successfully take down the TV station outpost. Carol and the King are headed to another unseen outpost. Others in the group take on yet another outpost and the tide seems to be turning against them. Is this where Daryl and Rick are? They snuck in the building to look for a gun stash while a bunch of B teamers are trying to hold off the Saviors? When they were looking around, I don't think I heard any gun battle going on. Or are they at a different location?

Rick and Daryl are at a different location. Three separate locations in last nights episode - Where Carol and the King are heading, the satellite tower place, and the building Rick and Daryl are in. I think it was briefly mentioned that the whole goal is to keep reinforcements from going back to the Sanctuary to clear out the zombie hoard with the guns that are supposedly where Rick and Daryl are.

It's her fake British accent that annoys me. She was born and raised in Cherry Hill, NJ until the age of 13

OK. Thanks. That makes sense since I did not hear a gun battle. I am guessing that the B group will likely get decimated while wiping out most of the Saviors at that location. Too many red shirts in the group to think it will turn out well. Aaron will get his husband out, likely only to die anyway from his wound.

Man, I couldn't even pay attention last night. Random characters shooting at other random characters - never seen so many shots of random machinegun fire in my life. Most of the people shooting were random people from the two groups and we had no attachment to them. I had no idea what the strategic significance of much of the action was. Couple that with the repeated slow motion shots of the main characters faces while dramatic music played in the background.... just plain boring.

Sometimes you didn't know if they were the good guys or the bad guys.

Most of the time! I wasn't sure who was who or what the hell was going on. Just lots of shots of people firing a machine gun. It had to set a record for those shots.

I said almost the exact same thing to my wife. But added: how can they fire 1,000s of rounds and yet there are no bullet holes in those cars, etc and how can there be 1000s of shots and only a few people get shot in the shoulder...even though they are 15 ft from each other at times.

I've always thought that a HUGE positive trait of TWD was how realistic they made it during a zombie apocalypse. But now its so unbelievable and the characters that were once so smart and careful with decision making have all of a sudden gone full on moron with decisions at times.

They had a shot at finishing the episode strong having Morgan come out and shoot that dude in front of everyone shaking everything up but no, for some reason they plan to take prisoners with no real plan to keep track of them and at the same time having them be a huge liability.
This show needs to end this season.

Well I missed it last night, and from the sound of it, I'm in no hurry to see it.

I actually don't mind the shooting scenes (take them for what they are, fantasy), over the 12/16 episodes a season that don't move the storyline at all. I'm with everyone on here though, they need to end it this season or next. The comics can keep going, but, let AMC put forth something else that is interesting again.

I haven't watched this show in a long time. But... did nobody make a single post during this week's episode last night? It looks like the posts skip straight from last Tuesday to today.

If so, is that the first time that's happened?
