I think they were just Napalming it. That's why the buildings weren't all down and that would actually be better than just concussion bombs because of a larger spread.

would the fires have brought buildings down?

Andrea in the comics = best character

Andrea on the show = worst character

Overall I love the show and I love that they're not trying to match the comics exactly, but I'm not a fan of how they changed her character for the tv series.

I guess maybe they thought since they have Daryl they don't need Andrea to be "Andrea" in terms of stone cold zombie assassin, or maybe they're going to harden her up at some point.

I just hope they finally find the girl and move along off of the freeway. They've been sitting in this one spot for long enough.

One thing I haven't been able to figure out, and maybe the books explain it, is how does that lone farmhouse have electricity? I would think with zombies being all over the place, that the power plant wouldn't still be staffed and operational. And if it is, then everyone should head there because it must be the best fortress in all the land.

They have a gas powered generator.

(Little late here, I just watched the episode on my DVR)

I think this thread nailed the storyline after last weeks episode, they are keeping the walkers they know hoping for a cure someday.

I'm guessing the military did something a little more drastic after the napalm and maybe their small group took off after they saw what was happening in Atlanta. There were people in their cars on the interstate dead, which doesn't make sense if they were attacked by zombies. They would either be zombie food or zombies themselves.

I don't think so. Most big buildings wouldn't collapse after a fire. Back in WWII they used napalm in towns to collapse buildings but that's because they were made of wood back then.

Pretty good episode. I'm excited for next week. We're gonna figure some things out about the barn walkers.

Hell on Wheels is a good show. I'm enjoying it a lot.

Any guesses as to why Herschel is a zombie hoarder?
My only thought is they are acquaintances that he is keeping there in case there is a cure. That is a big reach though.

That's a good thought. I'm not sure why else you'd keep em. I was thinking that maybe they toss in visitors who want to stay longer than Herschel wants them too. He has said before that Rick's group needs to be moving along soon.

The only burned out things that we saw in Atlanta (and we didn't see the entire city) were the cars in the outbound lanes on the interstate.

The military was attempting to stop people from leaving.

If people are not watching Hell on Wheels...you should be. I wasn't really that excited but it's a damn good show so far.

I'd say it's obvious those are family members in the barn. Would you shoot your daughter, son or wife if they turned into a walker? Not sure I could do it...I'd probably chain them to a wall in the basement and hope for a cure. Also, Maggie is super hot for some reason. Andrea is almost ruining parts of the show for me...she is freaking beyond annoying. If she would have killed Darly it may have been it for me...not sure I could have come back after that.

Andrea is the one deviation from the books where people would clearly like the books better. She's basically a young, attractive, less psycho, focused zombie assassin in the comics.

All the other changes from the books I can tell most of the fans really like, myself included.

I'm glad there's another fellow Hell on Wheels viewer on here. It is a good show. I like the resemblance it has to The Walking Dead.

I can't wait. The way they ended that first half was great on many levels. I think i've watched that last scene 10 times, it was just done very well.
