There has to be someone else who thinks the CDC guy (I can't think of his name right now) whispered to Rick that Lori was pregnant.
I'm not saying that this new airborne theory is wrong, but I thought the whispering was discussed during the first half of the season.

I noticed this too. It doesn't necessarily mean that Rick was told everyone reanimates but obviously he's making sure to put one in the brain so either he has strong spidey senses (he is a cop) or he knows (was told).
Why would the CDC guy have tested everyone if everyone already has the virus? I'm all for wild ideas here but I don't think that one holds up. I'd be willing to bet Herschal dies soon as well though. I would bet the group stays on the farm for the rest of the season and starts to move toward the prison and "the govenor" right about the end of the season. I thought I'd heard in the comics the group finds its way to Washington DC...so don't expect them to stay in one place very long.
If one thing is true, it's that the show does not follow the books at all. There are a few things here and there that are similiar, but in all they are completely different stories.
I'm not so sure about that. They are for sure deviating from the comics a little. But the overall story arc is the same. The original camp, lori getting pregnant, the farm...all in the comics. It's the minor character developments (Shane still being alive) and some minor plot differences is all I can see. Like Daryl is not in the comics but his character does not really affect the overall plot of the story.
I have a feeling that they will deviate from the whole "governor" thing a little. They may bring him in but I doubt it will play that huge of a role that it plays in the comics. That I believe would make it wayyy to wacky for AMC...
It's a valid question. I thought the same thing. It could be that the airborne virus is a mutated strain that leaves the exposed person in a carrier status and doesn't manifest itself as a live virus, rather activating and reanimating the individual after death. He would be testing for active strain and latent strain in the same test perhaps? Probably guilty of WAY over-thinking all of this.
I think they will make it to the prison in the rest of this season and then have the introduction of the people at Woodbury discover them and allude to "the governor" to set up season three, which will be about the struggle with the governor and Woodbury. I think the Philly guys could be a setup for Woodbury gang and/or the prison. They could fill 13 episodes on Woodbury/Prison defense storyline and the escape from there - look at how long they have dragged out the Greene's Farm sequence.
BUMP. Tonight will be interesting. I am curious as to what else goes down in the bar, if any of you have seen the preview.
The preview looked pretty sweet. I'm curious too. I won't be able to watch at 8 cause I have an intramural bball game at 9 but I'll definitely be watching the replay of it later tonight.
Rick's wife is planting a seed in his head...things are going to get real interesting with the Rick and Shane dynamic.

After tonight the show is back on track to being a refreshingly different but equally interesting version of the comics storyline.
Some of the over the top melodrama in the first half of season 2 belongs on daytime soap operas.
Very pleased with the new episodes since it came back from the break, as I was with season 1. I love that I don't know what's going to happen even though the main plot is being followed. (quasi spoiler for those who haven't watched season 2 or read books *** Sophia would have been alive at least 4 or 5 seasons if they were following the books exactly, not killed before they reach the farm.)

Great episode tonight. Action and great drama building between the characters.
What is going on with the chick in bed? Is the virus "airborne?" Is this what the doctor/scientist told Rick at the end of season 1? (We are all infected, some things can trigger it?.. etc...?)
Any zombie movie/show that has ever been told, living humans are ALWAYS the bigger threat....not the zombies.... so you know that these people will be back in the area causing trouble for our characters.
I think something big will happen with the girl in the bed.
