If you're a Chiefs fan, you might be wondering if Walt Anderson's axe to grind was against jerseys with the words "Iowa State" on them, or if he just had a vendetta against teams wearing red and gold.

I'm just as upset about KSU game as everyone else is, but I do recall that earlier in the game we missed the opportunity to score a couple of touchdowns that would have put this thing away, and taking away the problem of these calls at the end of the game. When we get in the red zone, score a TD and we can take the officials out of the game, instead of them taking us out. Teach these guys that we are legit winners. They'll have to back off and we'll no longer receive apology letters.
Leaving the game to the refs' influence is always a bad idea. Yours is an award-winning post, Jeffrey.:)

The fact that your post got praised by Surly should probably tell you something, Jeffrey.

In this conference, every game is at the ref's influence. How many games do you see not decided by one score? There's NFL parity in this conference, except for Kansas (Browns) and OU (Patriots). I've actually never been annoyed with your presence until now. Which was probably what you wanted, no matter how many times you deny it.

I've never argued that K-State didn't benefit from calls in that game. I have said that your coaching staff left the door open for that to happen, which is quite different than what's happened to Ku's benefit in hoops time-after-time.

If Weber would have built a multi possession lead and hung on to it as time wound down the refs wouldn't have been able to allow Svi to take a stroll to victory.

Walt Anderson proving he’s terrible at officiating at all levels. From ESPN:

The play, one of several controversial calls in the game, occurred with 6 minutes, 39 seconds remaining in regulation. Raiders quarterback Derek Carr lost control of the ball after Browns pass rushers Myles Garrett and Genard Averyhit him at the Oakland 38-yard line. Garrett recovered and began a return toward the end zone.

But referee Walt Anderson stepped in, ruling that a whistle had blown before the fumble because Carr's forward progress stopped. Anderson ruled the play a sack, and the Raiders punted on fourth down.

In a weekly video review released on Twitter, NFL senior vice president of officiating Al Riveron said: "We ruled the passer stopped for forward progress and we kill the play. This is not forward progress. Obviously, this is a fumble. We should not have blown the whistle."

By NFL rule, Anderson's call was not reviewable by instant replay.
